The Cowboy Camaraderie ~ Lucy Butcher

Behind the lens of The Cowboy Camaraderie. I started the Cowboy Camaraderie, last year when I was spending a bit of time around the Barkly region, capturing all my friends when we were able to see each other at events. I have grown up in the Northern parts of Queensland and the Territory, so this way of life is very special to me. I realised that the 'cowboy' and rural life of Australia, still remains under represented in ways, to a lot of the world. So I thought about the concept of 'Cowboy Camaraderie' as I wanted to share the stories, of the landscapes, the communities, the people. The beautiful simply, balanced with the ruggered and imperfect. How all of it together symbolises the values that shape this way of life. Values of, a hard days work. The importance of mate-ship. Ones like no other, and being apart of something bigger.
